Bokaro: The city is abuzz with excitement as it gears up to celebrate Vishwakarma Puja, a festival dedicated to the deity of architecture and engineering. This annual celebration has captured the hearts of the city’s residents, particularly those working in industries, garages, auto-rickshaw stands, and various workplaces, making it one of the most significant festivals in this industrial township.
More than a hundred vibrant puja pandals have sprung up throughout the district, serving as vibrant hubs of devotion and festivity. Notably, within the sprawling expanse of the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) and its accompanying township, there are no less than 35 locations where Vishwakarma Puja is celebrated with utmost devotion and zeal by the diligent workers.
Come September 17, workers, employees, and officials will join hands to mark this auspicious occasion with unparalleled enthusiasm. Manikant Dhan, the spokesperson for BSL, expressed, “Preparations have been meticulously executed for this grand celebration.”
The festival holds profound significance for mechanics, welders, masons, factory workers, craftsmen, artisans, and laborers who wholeheartedly place their faith in Lord Vishwakarma. Their collective celebration of this puja is a heartfelt endeavor to seek the blessings of the deity, ensuring a safe and prosperous environment within their workplaces.
In an expression of their devotion, residents have been fervently washing and adorning their vehicles with colorful flowers before presenting them for puja.
