Bokaro: Shambhavi Shandilya, the daughter of DVC employee Ashwini Kumar Mishra and Vandana Mishra residing in Bokaro Thermal, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a placement at Google with a lucrative package of Rs 55 lakh. Currently pursuing M.Tech in IT at IIIT Gwalior, Shambhavi is set to commence her role as a software engineer at Google’s Bengaluru office starting July 1, 2024.

Shambhavi’s academic journey has been outstanding, having achieved a remarkable 94.8 percent in the ICSE 10th exam from Carmel School, Bokaro Thermal. Subsequently, she secured an impressive 93.8 percent in the 12th exam from Central Academy Kota, Rajasthan. After completing her B.Tech in IT, Shambhavi pursued M.Tech, set to conclude her studies in May 2024.
The aspiring software engineer showcased her dedication by undertaking summer internships with Google in both 2022 and 2023. Expressing her joy and gratitude, Shambhavi credited her success to the unwavering support of her parents and the encouragement received from her childhood mentors, including teacher Arjun Shan and Principal Sister Jasita of Carmel School.
Her father, Ashwini Kumar Mishra, shared his dream of seeing his daughter work at Google, and with Shambhavi’s accomplishment, that dream has now become a reality. The family is overjoyed at the significant achievement, emphasising the pride they feel at Shambhavi securing a position at a renowned company like Google.
The success story reflects not only Shambhavi’s hard work and determination but also the collaborative efforts of her parents, mentors, and educators who played pivotal roles in her journey to success.
