Celebrating National N.S.S. Day: New volunteers registered at Bokaro’s GGESTC campus


Bokaro: On the occasion of National N.S.S. Day, a special Raising Day event was organised at Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus (GGESTC), Engineering and Management College, Bokaro. During the event, 50 new volunteer students were registered, and N.S.S. uniforms and colours were distributed. The volunteers showcased an impressive parade, and the N.S.S. oath was administered by College Director Dr. Priyadarshi Jaruhar.

The N.S.S. Program Officer, Dr. A.P. Barnwal, and Program Coordinator, Prof. Sushma Kumari, were also present. Dr. Barnwal emphasized the significance of N.S.S., an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, aimed at fostering community service and leadership among students. He highlighted that N.S.S. was launched on 24th September 1969, with the motto “Not Me But You,” symbolising selfless service to society.

Several students, including Ashna Kashyap (CSC), Gauri Kumari (BBA), Ghulam Hussain (ME), Harit Singh (BCA), and Yash Topo (CSC Data Science), actively participated in the event. Institute President Mr. Tarsem Singh and Secretary Mr. Surendra Pal Singh congratulated the students and faculty for their dedication.
