Bokaro: The Pentecostal Assembly School, with unwavering dedication, marked the 77th Independence Day through a magnificent display of patriotic fervor. Evident in the grand celebration was the institution’s steadfast commitment to instilling virtues of selflessness, sacrifice, and honor as a tribute to the motherland.
The event commenced with esteemed guests in attendance, including the Founders, Director Dr. D. N. Prasad and CAO Rita Prasad. The celebration was joined by the Administrative Head, Daniel Michael Prasad, along with the school’s teachers, staff, and senior students.
The National Flag was hoisted by the honorable Director, Rev. Dr. D. N. Prasad, accompanied by a collective rendition of the National Anthem that resonated with unity and pride.
A poignant address by Sheela Roy Sharma stirred a deep sense of patriotism among the students, further enriched by an impactful Hindi poem recitation by Sejal Rai of XII E. The spotlight then turned to School Captain Bhoomi Kumari, who delivered an insightful speech exploring the journey to freedom, rekindling a spirit of patriotism among all attendees.
In a display of immense pride, students from STD-VI and VII took the stage, presenting the patriotic song “आज का यह आह्वान है, साथ चले हरदम,” encapsulating their pride, self-esteem, and unwavering confidence in their nation.
Leading the National Pledge, Principal Dr. Karuna Prasad symbolised the collective commitment of the school community to the nation’s progress and prosperity. She emphasised the significance of the day, stating, “This day fills us with pride, reminding us of our illustrious past and the struggles of our legendary freedom fighters. It is our responsibility to carry their legacy forward and serve our nation.”
