Grand Independence Day celebration at GGPS School, patriotic fervor and unity mark the festive occasion


Bokaro: In a magnificent display of patriotic zeal, Guru Gobind Singh Public School (GGPS) organised a grand Independence Day celebration.

The ceremonial unfurling of the national flag was carried out by the school’s Principal, Soumen Chakraborty, along with Vice-Principal CP Singh and Suman Nangia, Primary Classes In-charge Smriti Bohra, and the distinguished Chief Guest. A collective salute to the fluttering emblem was followed by the resonant strains of the National Anthem. 

Principal, in his address, conveyed heartfelt Independence Day wishes and impelled all to contribute to the nation’s progress. He kindled the students’ aspirations, urging them to strive towards becoming exemplary citizens dedicated to nation-building. He underlined the significance of embracing India’s rich diversity as a unifying strength.

Patriotic fervor cascaded through the event with captivating performances including spirited patriotic dances, group song, and an emotive Desh Bhakti rendition by the school’s talented girls. Stirring speeches by students Shruti Raj (Class IX), Anya Dokania (Class XII, English), and Priyanshi Kumari (Class X, Sanskrit) resonated with the essence of freedom and unity.

The felicitation of accomplished judo athletes at the state level added an inspiring dimension to the festivities. GGES Secretary Surender Pal Singh expressed gratitude for the meticulously organised celebration and exhorted students to actively contribute to the nation’s advancement.

Addressing the assembly, GGES President Tarsem Singh invoked the sacrifices of the freedom struggle, emphasising the preciousness of liberty. He rallied all to embrace the tricolor spirit as the nation marked its 77th Independence Day, calling for widespread jubilation and unfurling of the national flag in every household.

The commemorative occasion witnessed a hearty turnout of dedicated teachers, enthusiastic students, proud parents, and school staff. The event culminated with a vote of thanks by Teacher Anand Prakash, acknowledging everyone’s participation and the harmonious spirit that pervaded the celebration.
