Students blamed school management for poor marks after board results were announced


Bokaro: A day after students staged demonstration accusing school management for giving less marks in YMCA School in Bari-Cooperative, several students of Rajendra Prasad Public School, Sector 8, Royal Public School, RVS College and BISSS 9 knocked the door of DC, Bokaro, Kuldeep Kumar blaming schools for their poor results.

They also demonstrated in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Friday for being given less marks by their schools in CBSE and Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) announced Metric and Intermediate results. Many students were also infuriated against the school management as they were failed even though examination was not conducted this year due to corona pandemic.

The students of Rajendra Prasad Public School Sector-8 have accused the school management for cheating them. They have given a letter to the Deputy Commissioner in this regard. Students have also requested DC to take action against the school management.

The students said that “we are students of Rajendra Prasad Public School, Sector 8 B. The school is not affiliated to CBSE. Students were given lesser marks in CBSE Matriculation examination. Some students were also failed. When an attempt was made by us to talk to the school management in this regard, they said that it was not their fault. This is what CBSE has done”.

The students said that Rajendra Prasad Public School management got their form filled from another school by taking good amount of money from them. Earlier the school management told to fill the form from a recognized school in Chira Chas. But they filled the form an affiliated school in Chandankyari.

Students said it is very shocking for them that many of their friends, who got more than 70 and 80 percent marks in the school level examination, were given very less marks in the CBSE matriculation examination by that school. Many students were failed.

Mukesh Kumar a staff of the school said that with the consent of the parents, the children’s form was filled from recognized schools. The school management is concerned about the interests of the students.

District Education Officer, Neelam Eleen Toppo said Rajendra Prasad Public School provides education from class I to VIII. From where the school management gets the form for board examination filled for the children they do not have any information about it. The matter has come to notice. It will be inquired.
