Alumni meet: Former Chinmaya students walk down memory lane

Bokaro: The Chinmaya Bokaro Alumni meet was held on Friday. Alumni from all eras and sessions were welcome this time around, although the 1996 batch was invited as a special guest. For the members, it was a nostalgic time when they relived their school days. Former students were ecstatic to meet each other after a long time. “Our reunion was both nostalgic and a homecoming in the school,” said a student.

Chimaya Mission resident Acharya Bokaro Swamini Samyuktananda welcomed and congratulated the alumni. She commended their efforts to spread the Chinmay sanskar worldwide. The alumni expressed their happiness and the importance of the values taught at Chinmaya Vidyalaya.

Teachers, too, became emotional after meeting their beloved students. In turn, they told them that “your success is the success of Chinmaya, and we are all happy for you. Thank you for promoting the Chinmaya culture and its values worldwide.” The event was organised according to Chinmaya culture and traditions.

Faculty members S.N. Jha and other school staff Rajdev Prasad, Ramparvesh Prasad, Gopal Mishra, Ganesh Mishra, and Nirmal Barik were also honored. Several alumni were present at the event, including Rashmi, Sonali Gupta and Shaibal Gupta. A student welfare committee and present students were integral parts of the program.
