Amarendu Prakash’s inaugural day as SAIL Chairman highlights commitment to progress


Bokaro: In a series of ceremonial events and inaugurations, Amarendu Prakash officially commenced his role as Chairman of SAIL (Steel Authority of India Limited) on Thursday.

Demonstrating his dedication to progress and development, Prakash’s first day included the laying of foundations for new facilities and the unveiling of healthcare advancements at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH).

The day began in Bokaro as Prakash bid farewell to the Ispat Bhawan complex amidst a ceremonial guard of honour by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). His presence at the foundation laying ceremony marked the start of promising developments, reflecting the commitment to uplifting the local community.

Before his departure to Delhi, Prakash participated in the inauguration of upcoming facilities at the Sector 3 Community Hall. This symbolic act represented the initiation of construction for amenities that will serve the community’s welfare and contribute to their overall well-being.

Continuing his inaugural activities, the newly appointed Chairman inaugurated state-of-the-art equipment, including the cutting-edge Neurosurgical Operating Microscope KINEVO 900 and the advanced Edge-II ultrasound machine.

These additions to the Operation Theatre of Neurosurgery Department at Bokaro General Hospital showcase SAIL’s commitment to improving healthcare services and ensuring the latest technology is available for the benefit of the people. Neurosurgery Department is headed by Dr Anand Kumar while his team includes Dr Uma Shankar, Dr Mohit and Dr Puja.

Furthermore, Prakash visited the Orthopaedics Ward (Ward 2-B) of the hospital, where he witnessed the in-patient module of the new Hospital Management Information System. This system, currently being implemented and successfully operating in several wards, aims to enhance the hospital’s efficiency and patient care.

With his active involvement in inaugural events and healthcare advancements, Amarendu Prakash has set the tone for his tenure as Chairman of SAIL. His commitment to progress and dedication to improving healthcare services signify a promising future for the organization and the communities it serves.
