Bokaro transforms into a temple wonderland for Durga Puja, featuring stunning replicas


Bokaro: During the Durga Puja celebration, the district has undergone a remarkable transformation into a city of temples, as numerous pandals have sprung up, replicating famous temples and historical monuments.

Among the approximately 330 pandals that have been erected across the district, the most extravagant are the Sector 2-C Puja Pandal, an impressive replica of the renowned Prem Mandir in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, Pandal of Sector 9-B near Gaytri Mandir replicating Museum of Paris and Pandal at Vaishali Road mirroring ISKCON Temple Mayapur.

Thematic Extravaganza: The Artistry Behind the Pandals 

Pandals across the district are resplendent with captivating decorations and awe-inspiring goddess idols, ready to stun puja enthusiasts. This year, the organisers have spared no effort or expense, resulting in a series of thematic pandals that capture the essence and grandeur of various temples and monuments. Their collective investment exceeds an estimated crore of rupees, signifying the scale and significance of this year’s celebration.

Kedarnath Replicated: City Centre’s Breathtaking Pandal 

A closer look at the City Centre in Sector-4 reveals a stunning replica of the Kedarnath Temple, which has left visitors in awe. Selfies and photographs have become an essential part of cherishing the memory of this unique festival.

Replicating ISKCON: Sector 9 Vaishali Moad Pandal 

Sector 9’s pandal at Vaishali Moad mirrors the ISKCON Temple Mayapur, created with a budget of Rs 10 lakhs. The attention to detail in faithful replication reflects the dedication of the puja committees to showcase diverse aspects of Indian culture and achievement.

Space Exploration and Divine Temples

At the Dundibad market, the recent sensation, Chandrayaan-03, takes center stage at the puja pandal, demonstrating the desire to engage the community in celebrating remarkable achievements in space exploration. Additionally, a glimpse of the newly constructed Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya is displayed at Camp-II.
