Bokaro: Thieves stole cash from the house of a Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) executive in Sector-4/D of the Sector 4 police station. In another house, the thieves also attempted theft, but failed because the door was interlocked.
Thieves broke into the house of S Singh, who is employed as a manager at BSL. The incident occurred when Singh had gone to duty on Wednesday. In broad daylight, the residence’s lock was broken. Thieves carried away Rs 12,000 of cash from the house since there were no ornaments.
Miscreants also broke the lock of the residence of a retired officer of BSL who lives in front of Singh’s house. The interlock in this house prevented thieves from entering. A police officer said the police were sent to investigate the incident after receiving information. Security has been stepped up in the area, he said.
