Cooking with kids: It’s more fun to cook donuts than eat them

Bokaro: Many people, especially kids, love donuts. On Sunday, children had a great time making donuts. A bakery Chef Bhim taught donut making to about two dozen children at the renowned Kozy Sweets and Bakery Shop in the City Centre of the town.

The chef, who comes from metropolitan, presented his skills in Bokaro. “It was great learning how to make donuts with Chef as he taught us how to mix the batter and decorate them with two delicious toppings,” said a girl.

Kozy Bakery’s owner, Punit Johar, said: “Having recently added bakery items to the shop, we have found donuts are high in demand among children. Seeing their obsession with donuts, we decided to make children little chefs.  As part of today’s free session, our bakery chef taught children how to make donuts and had them make that. The kids loved it”. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to learn something new, Kozy will continue to offer such free cooking sessions for every segment class in the future.

Johar brothers start a ‘bakery’ out of sweets and dining

Kozy, a prominent sweet shop in town, launched its bakery section in order to add value. Amit Johar and Puneet Johar – commonly known as the ‘Johar brothers’ – have come up with a wide range of bakery goods including brownies, cookies, cakes, pasteries, breads, biscuits, and other items which they claim will be unmatched in quality. In addition to a broad selection of sweets, Kozy shop in City Centre is now a bakery also. Punnet Johar says Video:

In Bokaro Steel Township, a number of bakery shops have opened in recent years. Bakery products have also gained popularity among local citizens. There are older brands, such as Sugar & Spice, and Golden Bakery. With the entry of Kanha and Cakery shops in the past few years, the local bakery market has become extremely competitive. Among them, Kanha and Cakery Shop specialise in ‘veg’ bakery items.

Today, Cakery shop has a lion’s share, but its product prices are higher than those of other shops. After studying the growth of bread and bakery market and growing demand of people and corporates, Kozy entered the market with a commitment to provide quality bakery items at a competitive price range.

Owner of Kozy Sweets, Amit Johar, says, “We are the brand most trusted for sweets and snacks in this region.” At Kozy, we have over 100 delectable snacks and food items, and henceforth we add bakery products”. After its launch a few days ago, Johar added, “we are receiving a very encouraging response. Other than bread items and cookies, cramel, strawberry, chocolate and Rasmalai cakes are more in demand”.

Puneet Johar, who is more focused on the bakery counter said, “we have begun with about a dozen varieties of bakery items but will soon add more than 20 more items. Our cakes are simple and genuine because they are made carefully with selected ingredients, using fresh cream. This helps make our cakes extremely light and easily digestible”. To give a true taste of bakery cuisine, Johar brothers have hired a bakery chef from Hyderabad.

Puneet explains, “Initially, we have introduced five different varieties of breads and buns. Customers love it because of its freshness and flavor. Residents are also enjoying the patties we serve. We don’t use anything, but high-quality products to meet our customers’ needs. Moreover, we have kept the prices of each bakery item very competitive because the people here are very sensitive to both price and quality”.
