Doctors exchanged ideas and experiences on pediatric medication usage


Bokaro: Several renowned pediatricians participated in a workshop on ‘Use of medications in pediatrics’ organized by India Academy of Pediatrics, Bokaro chapter on Sunday at West Inn, Nayamoad. Participants from across the state, including pediatricians, physicians, pathologists, and medical officers, participated in the brainstorming session, which was highly praised.

“Doctors exchanged their experiences, knowledge, and case studies, which was insightful and knowledge-enhancing. According to Dr L K Thakur, secretary of IAP of Bokaro, the workshop helped pediatricians and physicians diagnose and manage common childhood diseases like thyroid disease, ITP, constipation, hypertension, neonatal sepsis, different types of cough, and others.

Vice President IAP East Zone, Ex HOD pediatrics Tata Main Hospital (TMH) Sudhir Mishra elaborated on funtional constipation. Meanwhile, Dr Sushil Kumar shared his experiences on Chelation therapy. Dr Bhupendra Gupta threw light on Use of Thyroxine. Dr Deepshikha gave presentation on Pediatric rheumatology. Another Dr. Sumeet Biswal shared on insulin therapy.

The prominent pediatricians of the district Dr S C Munshi, Dr B Prasad, Dr Mithilesh Kumar, Dr Indranil Choudhury, Dr Sanjay Singh, Dr Arjun Prasad. Dr Chandrai, Dr Pankaj Kumar, Dr Pankaj Bhushan, dr Rajeev Singh and Dr J S Verma were present in the workshop.
