DPS Bokaro clinches first position in National Dialogue Competition


Bokaro: The students of Delhi Public School Bokaro have once again proved their mettle in performing arts at the national level.

The team comprising Sarthak Shrestha, Anushka Singh, Anurag Kumar and Vikramaditya Roy of Class XII secured the first position in the National Level Dialogue Competition – ‘Bodhi Tree Inter School Critical Literary Dialogues 2022’ organized by Delhi Public School, Gaya (Bihar). A total of 16 school teams from 9 states participated in the competition which was organized on the virtual mode.

The students of DPS Bokaro garnered immense appreciation for their acting skills by presenting a play based on the life of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. The lively composition on Dr. Ambedkar’s unparallel contribution towards removing social evils and establishing harmony in the society as well as his role in constitution-making was well presented by the students.

The team of Sunbeam School Varuna (Varanasi, UP) stood second in the competition while Mount Litera Zee School, Amritsar and B K Birla Public School, Kalyan (Maharashtra) jointly secured the third position.

Principal DPS Bokaro, A. S. Gangwar congratulated the students on their commendable performance and said, “Educating children through theatre helps children to develop their own perspective to look at ideas and values in the society”. I am happy that children have taken the initiative to explore their diverse perspectives to develop into wholesome individuals”, he added.
