Fire Safety workshop empowers Chinmaya Vidyalaya students in Bokaro


Bokaro: The Fire Department of Bokaro organised a one-day workshop and training program focused on fire prevention and relief at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, which garnered successful participation.

Inaugurating the event, Principal Suraj Sharma emphasised the importance of awareness and dissemination of correct information to prevent accidents. He stressed that awareness plays a pivotal role in averting major accidents.

Leading Fireman Raja Ram Mohanty and Raghavendra Kumar Singh, representing the fire department, provided insights into rescue and relief operations pertaining to various types of fires, including oil fires, gas cylinder mishaps, electrical short circuits, and others. They underscored the significance of timely information in safeguarding lives and properties.

Conducting practical demonstrations, including lighting a gas cylinder, Mohanty explained preventive measures and techniques for fire safety. Detailed explanations were provided to students and teachers, who actively participated in hands-on learning activities.

The workshop, facilitated by Nishant Singh and Puneet Doshi, saw attendance from students ranging from class 7th to 11th. School Secretary Mahesh Tripathi commended the efforts of all involved in organizing the event.
