Five people arrested for attacking police officers


Bokaro: There has been an arrest of five persons who allegedly attacked police team, injuring three sub-inspectors. All the accused are residents of Adarsh ​​Colony Chapra Khatal in Chas. Police have also recovered the stolen bike of the injured sub-inspector Pawan Kumar from Dayanand’s house in Sarai Ambadih in Giridih.

The arrested accused have been identified as Govardhan Rajwar, Praveen Kumar, Virendra Hembram, Bittu Rajwar and Balram Tiwari alias Golu. Police are currently searching for other suspects.

It was on April 2, bike Pawan Kumar was stolen from outside his residence in Sector 12 C. Kumar is currently posted in City Police Station. On his complaint, Sector 12 police station started investigation by registering an FIR against unknown thieves.

During the investigation, police got clues that it was Balram who had stolen Kumar’s motorbike. Launching search for it, the police reached Adarsh ​​Colony Gaighat of Chas on Thursday evening. Pawan Kumar was also in the team. As the police team reached the spot and attempted to catch Balram, who is accused of bike theft, he took out a knife and attacked Kumar.

He was badly injured in this attack. By making noise on the spot, the attacker gathered the crowd. Raman and Rajesh, who went to save their colleague Pawan, were badly beaten up with sticks and injured by the mob.
