Former DPS Bokaro student makes his way to United Kingdom


Bokaro: Adding to the scroll of success stories, Rohan Sarkar, an alumnus of Delhi Public School Bokaro Steel City, made his way to eminent Loughborough University of United Kingdom for Masters in Sports Management, Administration and Analysis course. He has been selected from India on the basis of his talent and interactive performance.

Loughborough University London is reckoned  amongst one of the world’s most iconic sporting venues, which continue to host highly prestigious global sports events, such as the Rugby World Cup, UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the LEN European Aquatics Championships, MLB Baseball, Premier League Football etc.

It is worth mentioning here that in London, Loughborough University (United Kingdom) has been awarded first place in the world in 2020 for all higher educational studies, research and analysis related to sports.

In an interaction with the school, Rohan said, “During my schooling at DPS Bokaro , I was fortunate enough to represent the school on multiple occasions including Inter-DPS, CBSE Clusters and Nationals. It helped me in securing many laurels and achievements, favouring my growth as a sportsman. I am thankful to my school for leading me to formulate plans to focus on sports as a career.”

Principal, DPS Bokaro, A. S. Gangwar said, “It is indeed heartening to see Rohan make his mark in his chosen field. His accomplishment will definitely inspire others. I wish him a very bright future ahead.”
