In Bokaro, Schools illuminate Navratri with special assemblies and programs


Bokaro witnessed a delightful array of Navratri celebrations as schools across the city hosted special assemblies and programs to honor the nine nights dedicated to Goddess Durga. From vivid presentations of the divine forms to mesmerizing devotional performances, students showcased their reverence and talent.

Sri Ayyappa Public School:At Sri Ayyappa Public School in Sector-5, a special assembly spanning various sections commemorated Navratri with a focus on the nine forms of Maa Durga. From Pre-Nursery to Prep classes, teachers guided students in understanding the significance of these forms in life.

The enchanting presentations by the primary class teachers captivated the children, becoming the heart of attraction. Devotional ambiance filled the air as Akshay Sharma recited the Durga Stotra and Saanvi Singh sang devotional songs.

The assembly of classes 3 to 5 featured Geeta verses and various programs dedicated to Durga, enhancing the devotional and joyful atmosphere.

Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro:DPS Bokaro organised a special assembly that showcased the splendor of Navratri, a festival devoted to Goddess Durga. Students from Classes III to V rendered captivating bhajans, Garba, and Dandiya dances, underscoring the significance of ‘Shakti’ and the triumph over Mahishasur.

The students’ talent shone through their colorful costumes and expressive performances. The youngest participants melodiously presented devotional songs, such as ‘Aigiri nandini Nanditmedini Vishwavinodini Nandinute…’ and ‘Ambe Charan Kamal Hain Tere…’.

The presentation celebrated the nine forms of Goddess Durga and received high praise. Dr. A. S. Gangwar, the principal, extended his wishes for the festival and emphasized the importance of preserving India’s rich culture and traditions.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya: A special Navratri program unfolded at Chinmaya Vidyalaya during a prayer meeting. Class 11th and 12th students began with Maa Durga-Stuti recitations, lectures on her nine forms, and enthusiastic Garba dance performances.

Students from Pre-Nursery to Class II adorned the roles of the nine forms of Mother Durga, such as Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhiratri.

Their transformation immersed everyone in devotion. School Secretary Mahesh Tripathi and Principal Suraj Sharma wished all students and teachers a joyful Navratri, emphasizing the lessons of truth, resilience against untruth, and the importance of discipline taught by Maa Durga.
