Bokaro: The Income Tax Department conducted raids on around ten locations associated with the coal business in Dhanbad and Bokaro, Jharkhand. Income Tax teams raided Vasudha Udyog Campus in Bokaro early on Wednesday morning.
Income Tax teams raided the residences and offices of coal traders and buisnessmen. The raids, initiated early on Wednesday morning, are reportedly related to suspected tax evasion cases.
Although the department has not officially disclosed details, security measures are stringent, with paramilitary personnel deployed at the raid locations. Individuals within the premises are restricted from leaving, and external entry is prohibited.
The Income Tax Department’s operation is ongoing, focusing on individuals linked to the coal business in both Dhanbad and Bokaro. Official information from the department is awaited as the investigations progress. Security remains heightened at the raid sites.
