Few of them including a magistrate Amrit Topono have been injured when clash broke out between two communities during Ram Navami procession on Wednesday evening in Jala under Pindrajora police station area of Bokaro. However, the timely intervention of the district administration played a crucial role in pacifying the unrest.

Sub-divisional officer (SDO) of Chas, Om Prakash Gupta, said, “We are closely monitoring the situation and have deployed a significant police force. Our efforts are directed towards restoring normalcy.”
Following the incident, the administration swiftly deployed the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and bolstered police presence to bring the situation under control. Deputy Commissioner Jadhav Vijaya Narayan Rao oversaw proceedings from the Control Room, issuing necessary directives.
DC said “Police personnel continue to remain stationed in the area to ensure the complete restoration of normalcy.”
According to local villagers, the Ram Navami procession, originating from the Bajrangbali temple near the Jala village bridge, was en route to the Shiv temple in the village. Altercations arose when members of another community reportedly threw stones near a mosque, prompting dispersal among the procession attendees and subsequent escalation.
