Pentecostal Assembly School nurtures green minds: Tree plantation program raises climate awareness


Bokaro: In an earnest effort to combat climate change and foster environmental stewardship, The Pentecostal Assembly School, located in Sector 12, organised a momentous tree plantation program on Friday. Led by the school’s esteemed Principal, Dr. Karuna Prasad, the event aimed to sensitise students and the community about the crucial role of trees in maintaining ecological balance.

Teak tree saplings took center stage in the school’s verdant garden, symbolizing the significance of preserving these natural treasures. Enthusiastic participation poured in from students belonging to the Pre-Primary and primary wings, as they wholeheartedly pledged to nurture and protect the saplings, instilling a sense of responsibility for the environment.

Highlighting the invaluable impact of trees in absorbing carbon dioxide and purifying the air we breathe, Principal Dr. Karuna Prasad underscored the urgency to conserve these green guardians. To extend their eco-initiative beyond the school premises, The Pentecostal Assembly School pledged to collaborate with local authorities and communities to plant more trees in nearby areas.
