Residents of Bokaro can now have online darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi

The residents of Bokaro, who are unable to visit Maata Vaishno Devi in this Navratri and Durga Puja due to the Covid-19 pandemic, now can book puja online and local priests will offer it on you and of your family’s behalf. Meanwhile the devotees can also get ‘Prasad’ at their doorstep straight from the Vaishno Devi.

For it, residents have to visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board`s (SMVDSB) website and request a puja. According to Chief Operating Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar Jangid, booking for puja and prasad can be done on their website.

There are three packages available — priced at Rs 500, Rs 1,100 and Rs 2,100. When a devotee makes a booking, a puja is performed in the family`s name and prasad is packed. We have made an arrangement with the Postal Department for dispatching it within 72 hours.

As per the SMVDSB website, the Rs 2,100 package provides Category A Individual Poojan, under which prayers will be offered to the Goddess in the name of the person(s) for whom Pooja has been registered.

The Goddess Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani, resides in holy Trikuta (Three-peaked mountain) in Katra of Jammu Kashmir. Every year, specially in both the Navaratri’s, thousands of people from Bokaro and all parts of Jharkhand.

“This year due to Covid-19 outbreak, our yatra has been suspended. It is very sad for me as I cannot visit this Navaratri due to several Covid-19 restrictions imposed for darshan. I am very hopeful of Mata Rani darshan in next Navaratri,” said Prayag Prasad (61) a retired teacher and renowned numerologist in City Centre, Sector-IV of Bokaro.

Prayag Prasad used to visit Vaishno Devi for darshan regularly in both the Navaratri’s since the past more than three decades. Another S C Mehta, a resident of Adarsh Cooperative, a regular visitor to Vaishno Devi, said this year Vaishno Devi yatra was suspended since March this year after lockdown was imposed. However darshan reopened on August 16 but under strict restrictions.

However those who are unable to visit Vaishno Devi due to the Covid-19 pandemic they can book puja online and can also get the ‘Pooja Prasad’ delivered to their home. If you wish to book your puja online, you can follow the below-given steps:

Step1: Open any browser and visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board`s (SMVDSB) website.
