St. Xavier’s School celebrates Rabindra Nath Tagore’s jayanti with special program


Bokaro: On the occasion of Rabindra Nath Tagore’s birth anniversary, a special program was conducted in the premises of St. Xavier’s School. The program started with a tribute to the great personality and his work by the school principal, Father. Arun Minj S.J.

The principal highlighted that Tagore was not just a poet, but also a litterateur, philosopher, and a visionary who infused new life into Indian cultural consciousness through Bengali literature. Moreover, he was the first Asian to win a Nobel Prize in literature.

The students of the school presented the iconic song ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ that enthralled everyone. The program also featured a graceful dance performance by the girl students on the song ‘Meri Saanjh Dhal Jaye.’ The participation of both the teachers and students in the program was highly commendable and praiseworthy.

Overall, the program was a fitting tribute to the multifaceted Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore, the composer of India’s national anthem and a towering figure in the world of literature and philosophy.
