Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant’s (BSL) Sports and Civic Facilities Department launched the much-anticipated Summer Sports Training Camp-2024 on May 16th. The inaugural ceremony, held at MKM Stadium, saw the Chief General Manager (Municipal Services), Kundan Kumar, officially open the event.
Notable figures including General Manager (Liaison & Administration) CRK Sudhanshu, General Manager (City Services) AK Avinash, and Assistant General Manager (Sports & Civic Facilities) S Rajak graced the occasion alongside senior officials, sports trainers, media representatives, and enthusiastic children with their parents.
Rajak took the stage after the inauguration, providing comprehensive insights into the camp, slated to run until June 3rd. A remarkable 309 children have enrolled for diverse sports training sessions offered during the camp.
Participants can expect expert guidance in twelve different sports, including athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, chess, and archery.
“These sessions will be conducted at various designated locations, ensuring optimal facilities for skill enhancement. The Summer Sports Training Camp promises an enriching experience for aspiring athletes, fostering both skill development and sportsmanship, culminating on June 3rd,” said Manikant Dhan, BSL spokesperson.
