This Class-8 student of Bokaro will represent India in Global Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition


Bokaro: Utkarsh Raj, a Class VIII student of  DPS Bokaro, has secured All India Rank-1  paving the  way to represent India in the Global Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition (HOMC) 2020-21. Utkarsh is among the top six students in the junior group to represent India in the Global Maths Competition- HOMC.
In the first round of HOMC, more than 6000 students across the country participated through the virtual platform, out of which 500 students from across India were shortlisted for the second round. Among the top 500 students, 50 students were shortlisted for the final round which included six students of DPS Bokaro and out of them, Utkarsh Raj has made it to the Global level of HOMC.
HOMC is organized by Meccademia Education Institute for Junior (Grade 7 & 8) and Senior (Grade 9 & 10) students with the objectives to identify and nurture mathematical talent and motivate the students at junior and senior high schools.
A. S. Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, congratulated Utkarsh on his extraordinary achievement. He said that Utkarsh has made the school proud. ” This success is the outcome of the hard work, perseverance, focus and dedication.
