Residents remember Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 125th birth anniversary in Bokaro


Bokaro: The 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is being celebrated as Parakram Divas in the district on Saturday. Many organisation, social workers, political leaders and residents remembered Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary. “One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives,” Netaji’s inspiring quotes are remembered on the day.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Singh paid tribute to Netaji’s statue at many places in the district. DC said, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose undeterred attitude and resolution to make India free still inspire many. To honour his contribution to India’s struggle for independence, Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday is celebrated across various parts of the country on January 23rd every year.

Bokaro MLA, Biranchi Narayan alongwith his supporters took out motorbike rally in the town and later paid tribute garlanding his statue at Chas. Paying tributes to Bose, Narayan described him as a great patriot and iconic hero of India’s freedom struggle. Hundred of BJP workers participated in the event.

In another event organised to mark Netaji’s birth anniversary in R K Farm at Jodadih Moad in Chas, Congress workers felicitated 15 teachers of different coaching institute for their significant contribution in the field of education to society. Chief Guest of the function MLA, Jharia, Purnima Neeraj Singh said “teachers have an important contribution in society”. Congress leader Sweta Singh, youth Congress leader, Kumar Gaurav, Parinda Singh were also present at the occasion.

Meanwhile, the sand artist Ajay Shankar Mahto paid tribute to Subhash Chandra Bose by making an attractive sand-portrait of Netaji on the banks of Damodar River in Chandankyari.

Rashtriya Bhakta Samaj also paid tribute to Netaji’s statue in Sector-4.  Its president, Dharmavir Singh said, “his contribution in providing the freedom to the country can never be forgotten”.

The birth anniversary of Subhash Chandra Bose was also celebrated at Guru Gobid Singh Institute of Educational Engineering and Management, Kandra Chas. The directors and faculty of the institute paid floral tributes on the photo of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. President Tarsem Singh said that Netaji was the real hero of our nation.

Students and teachers of City College remembered Netaji Subhash Chadra Bose paying tribute on his photo on his birth anniversery.
