Vande Bharat Express to halt at Bokaro Railway Station in Jharkhand, Enhancing connectivity


Bokaro: In a significant development aimed at enhancing railway connectivity, the Vande Bharat Express will now include a stop at Bokaro railway station in Jharkhand. This decision comes as a boon for the people of Bokaro, aligning with the Indian Railways’ commitment to passenger convenience and accessibility.

Scheduled for inauguration on March 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ten Vande Bharat Express trains online across the nation. Among these, the Vande Bharat Express originating from Ranchi will traverse between Varanasi via Bokaro Steel City, said railway sources.

The Vande Bharat Express, identified by train number 20887, will commence its journey from Ranchi at 5:10 am. It will make its first halt at Muri station at 6:10 am, followed by a stop at Bokaro Steel City station at 7:10 am. Subsequently, the train will proceed to Koderma station at 8:40 am, Gaya station at 10:00 am, Sasaram station at 11:03 am, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction at 12:15 pm, culminating its journey at Varanasi Junction at 1:00 pm.

On its return journey, train number 20888, originating from Varanasi, will depart from the station at 16:05. It will make stops at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction at 16:40, Sasaram at 17:48, Gaya at 18:45, and Koderma at 19:50. Eventually, the train will arrive at Bokaro Steel City station at 21:50 hrs (9.50 pm) and Muri station at 22:48 hrs, concluding its journey at Ranchi Junction at 23:55 hrs.

The inclusion of Bokaro railway station as a stoppage point for the Vande Bharat Express signifies a milestone in the region’s transportation infrastructure, fostering greater connectivity and facilitating smoother travel experiences for commuters.
