Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited, a prominent member of the Vedanta Group and a key player in India’s steel production sector, continues to uphold its dedication to societal and community advancement. A Blood Donation Camp held at ESL Steel Limited’s Siyaljori plant on Wednesday witnessed remarkable participation.

Employees from various echelons of the organisation, including workers, contractual laborers, staff, technicians, officers, and management personnel, demonstrated their unwavering support. Despite the exhaustive screening process that prevented some from donating due to health concerns, the event garnered an impressive collection of over 120 units of blood.
This substantial contribution has propelled ESL Steel Limited to the forefront as the highest blood donating organisation in Bokaro District, a distinction duly recognised by the Indian Red Cross Society. The event was graced by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Civil Surgeon of Bokaro, who emphasised the criticality of blood donation in saving lives.
Dr. U C Mohanty, Head of the Indian Red Cross Society, Bokaro, shed light on the health benefits of blood donation, while Kanchan, District Data Manager of the National Health Mission, reiterated the importance of this act.
Expressing gratitude, Ashish Ranjan, Head of CSR, ER & PR at ESL Steel Limited, commended the collective efforts of employees and partners, emphasising their role in embodying compassion and making a tangible difference in society. The exemplary initiative spearheaded by ESL Steel Limited is the annual voluntary Blood Donation Camp named ‘V for Society’.
