26 pairs of passenger trains back on track in Bokaro over past four months, Rourkela-Jaynagar Special restart from Thursday


Bokaro: Keeping in view the demand of the passengers, South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to run Tri-Weekly Special Train between Rourkela and Jaynagar from coming Thursday. The train will start from February, 25 from Rourkela and February, 26 from Jaynagar till further advice. The train 08605 Rourkela-Jaynagar Special with two AC three Tier, six Sleeper Class and four General Second Class coaches will have stoppages at Hatia, Ranchi, Muri and Bokaro Steel City in SER jurisdiction, said a railway officer.

The service of 08605 Rourkela-Jaynagar Express was suspended during Covid-19 lockdown last year with other trains. At present services of 24 pairs of long and short distance trains have been restored through Bokaro station. The Rourkela-Jaynagar special train will be leaving Rourkela every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 17.00 hrs will reach Jaynagar at 11.25 hrs the next day, said sources. In the return direction, 08606 Jaynagar-Rourkela Special leaving Jaynagar every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 19.30 hrs will arrive Rourkela at 14.30 hrs the next day.

Passengers are requested to strictly follow all the safety protocols before and during the journey in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic.
