ESL Steel Ltd, a Vedanta Group company, won the “Best Indirect Tax Team Award of the Year” at the 5th Annual GST Summit & Awards 2022 which was held by Achromic Point recently.
By being awarded, member firms at all tax levels were visible to demonstrate their regional strengths and depth and be recognized for their outstanding achievement. Rajesh Kumar Pandey (Deputy General Manager) leads the team, and Mahesh Iyer (Chief Financial Officer) provides guidance.
NL Vhatte, ESL’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “ESL was honored to receive industry recognition for our tax expertise and we saw very strong and impressive contributions from tax professionals this year. We believe that highlighting these achievements is essential. We are looking forward to achieving more success.”
Having such awards in different fields and on different occasions is a testament to ESL’s continuous efforts towards excellence, said Vanshika Rakesh, a public relation officer of ESL.
ESL, an Integrated Steel Producer, was incorporated in 2006 as a Public Limited Company with operations in Bokaro, Jharkhand, India. In June 2018, Vedanta Limited acquired the management control of ESL through the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process initiated for addressing the resolution of non-performing assets of the Indian banking system.
The company has set up a green field integrated manufacturing facility, which is currently commissioned at a capacity of 1.5 MT per annum.
