Ayyappa School’s theme for Women’s Day was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”


Shree Ayyappa Public School celebrated International Women’s Day to honor the significance and contribution of women. Teachers actively participated in the event. A quiz competition related to women empowerment was held, as well as song performances, and dance presentations by teachers that focused on empowering women.

Every year, International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 to spread the message of gender equality and work together in making a better society where there is no gender bias. This year, the theme of the day was – Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.

Principal of M.G.M. Junior, Shanta Omen, was the chief guest of the event. She is an educationist, a social worker, and has been working in education for more than 50 years. She said, the upliftment of society and country is incomplete without women. On this occasion, the school was beautifully decorated.

S S Mohapatra, the director of Sri Ayyappa Public School, welcomed her with a bouquet. The school’s principal and vice principal presented him with a shawl, and children of various classes presented him with Momento and Madhubani art work. A sapling was given to her by the women’s teachers.

Mohapatra said during the function that women are the pillars of the family. “It is impossible to imagine a society without women, and I wish them a bright future”. Meanwhile, Principal P. Shailja Jai ​​Kumar said women are providing excellent support in all areas of society.

On behalf of the Management Committee, Chairman Satish Nair extended best wishes and greetings to everyone. The function ended with an inspirational story relating to history, civilization, and culture.
