Bokaro: World celebrated the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day on Friday. Earth Day is an annual event that aims to raise awareness about the environment and encourage people to take action to protect our planet. This year’s theme, “Invest in Our Earth,” emphasizes the need for individuals, organizations, and governments to dedicate time, resources, and energy to solve the climate crisis.
To commemorate this day, Pentecostal Assembly School organised special assembly in the Primary and Senior Secondary sections. Students came together to celebrate the power of green and take a pledge to protect the earth from pollution and abuse.
Several competitions were organized to raise awareness among students. The Primary classes had a coloring competition, while the artists of 6 to 12 participated in canvas-painting. Students also made special bookmarks and decorated their bulletin board.
The highlight of the event was a street play presented by the students of 12 C, which shows the importance of taking immediate steps to combat the global crisis of climate change.
Principal, Dr. Karuna Prasad, addressed the students, emphasising the importance of afforestation, planting trees, and the need for everyone to put their efforts together and take action to protect our environment. Her message, “Each One Plant One,” resonated with the students, inspiring them to take action to protect our planet.
The Earth Day 2023 celebrations at the school were a success, with students demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment. By organizing such events, schools can help raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and inspire future generations to take action to protect our planet.
