Bokaro students! CBSE announces class 10, 12, term-1 exam dates, follows NEP to improve performance


Bokaro:  The Central Board of Secondary Examination ( CBSE ) said that it is following the New Education Policy ( NEP) to improve the performance of the students in the Board examination. CBSE on Monday released the date sheet for Class 10, 12 term-1 exams (attached below).

This is the first time that CBSE will be conducting the Board exams in two phases — Term 1 and 2. Term 1 exams will take place in November-December. For class 10, exams will take place from November 30 to December 11 and for Class 12, the exams will be held from December 1 to December 22, said CBSE sources.The duration of each paper of major subject will be 90 minutes. A CBSE official said the final Board result will be based on both terms. But if due to pandemic, Term-2 didn’t happen then the result will be according to Term 1. Term 1 will help students in knowing in what areas they need to improve for.

The announced date sheet is for major subjects while the schedule for minor subjects will be sent to school separately. The CBSE is offering 114 subjects in class 12 and 75 subjects in class 10. Out of these 19 are major subjects in class 12 and nine in class 10.The highest ever total of 36 lakh candidates, 4 lakh more than last year, have registered for the CBSE Board exams for Classes 10 and 12. The Board has also increased the number of exam centres.
