Bokaro: Various schools participated enthusiastically in the Interschool Heritage Quiz competition organized by Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex on Saturday. In order to encourage students to grow holistically, the Sahodaya group organizes a variety of cultural and sports activities almost every month.
The interschool heritage quiz and felicitation ceremony were held at Sree Ayyappa Public School. The function was graced by President Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex and Principal DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, who was the Chief Guest. Principal GGPS, Soumen Chakroborty, Vice-President Sahodaya School Complex, was the Guest of Honour.
Guests were welcomed with tilak, saplings, and flowers in the Indian tradition. SAPS students presented a welcome song. The Director of Sree Ayyappa Public School, S S Mahapatra welcomed the dignitaries, students, and teachers. He motivated all the students towards learning and respect Indian culture and heritage.
The winners of Group A were DPS Bokaro while The Pentecostal Assembly School and GGPS Sec-5 as first and second runners up respectively. DPS Bokaro team emerged winners in the Group B (for classes IX and X) also, followed by ARS Public school as a first runner.
The rounds of the quiz were on ancient heritage – Science, medicine, literature, music, and films. The program began with lamp lighting, slok chanting and the SAPS School song. 40 students from various schools participated enthusiastically. Participants received mementos while winners were felicitated with medals, trophies, and certificates.
Mahapatra said it is an honour for a school to host such inter-school competitions and expressed her gratitude to the executive committee of the Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex for working towards enabling all schools to rise and grow together.
