Bokaro: The world-renowned violinist Ustad Johar Ali Khan educated the children about the history and intricacies of the violin at the Tapovan Auditorium of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro. Violinist Johar Ali, while speaking to the children, emphasised that music is a divine creation. Indians have always had a deep love for music, and the soul of Indian music remains eternal as it is deeply rooted in our traditions.
As the violinist commenced playing classical tunes on his violin, both the students and teachers were captivated by his performance. The highlight of the program was a soulful jugalbandi, featuring Johar Ali on the violin and Arkadip Das on the tabla.
Johar Ali further delighted the audience with renditions of devotional, Bollywood, and patriotic melodies. The entire atmosphere resonated with the students’ applause. To make the musical program more engaging, he also played folk tunes from various states and encouraged the students to identify the names of the regions’ rulers.
Towards the end, Chinmaya Mission’s Swamini Samyuktananda, Secretary Mahesh Tripathi, and Principal Suraj Sharma honored musicians on behalf of the school management.
The event was attended by students from the ninth and tenth grades, along with their teachers, including Sonali Gupta, Siben Chakraborty, Jaikishan Rathod, Dinesh Kumar, and Rupak Jha, who contributed to the program’s success.
