The initiative aimed to educate students, school staff and security personnel on fire prevention and emergency response. Fire inspectors Rajesh Kumar Rai and Nilesh Kumar, along with head constable A.A. Khan, DCPO Rajendra Kumar and constable J. Hajong, conducted both theoretical sessions and practical demonstrations.
Highlighting this year’s theme – safe schools, safe hospitals and a fire-aware society – officials stressed that awareness among children is crucial in preventing accidents. They explained fire as a chemical process and elaborated on different types of fires caused by electricity, wood, liquids, coal and gas, along with appropriate methods to control them.

Students were trained in the use of various fire extinguishers, including A, B, C, D and F types, with hands-on demonstrations. Officials noted that lack of knowledge often leads to panic during emergencies, making such training essential.
School principal Dr A.S. Gangwar termed fire hazards a serious concern and emphasised the importance of early awareness. He appreciated the CISF team for conducting the training.
