Kabaddi tournament unveils Bokaro’s sporting brilliance

Bokaro: The courtyard of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bokaro, reverberated with energy and enthusiasm as the Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya Complex Inter School Kabaddi Competition organised successfully. This event witnessed the spirited participation of 18 teams from 12 schools in Bokaro, marking a celebration of sportsmanship and talent.

The event commenced with a traditional Vedic inauguration ceremony, graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Kundan Kumar CGM, Town Administration, Bokaro Steel Plant. The atmosphere was filled with warmth as guests were welcomed with Tilak, Mishri, and flower bunch.

Following the lighting of the lamp, the Chairman of the Organising Committee and the Principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya extended heartfelt congratulations to judges, players, coaches, and team managers. Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya Complex, dedicated to academic and holistic development, emphasised the importance of sports. Participants were encouraged to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and showcase their abilities.

**Chief Guest’s Address:**
Chief Guest Kundan Kumar highlighted the cultural significance of Kabaddi, expressing its unique connection to India. He emphasised the game’s role in instilling a sense of winning and the spirit of struggle, encouraging participants to adopt it with enthusiasm for life.

**Tournament Results:**
The Kabaddi competition, played on a knockout basis, crowned Rainbow Public School as the winner in the Boys category, with Sree Ayyappa Public School securing the runner-up position. Mithila Academy Public School claimed the third spot. In the Girls category, Mithila Academy Public School emerged as the winner, followed by Rainbow Public School as the runner-up and A.R.S Public School securing the third position.

**Appreciation and Success Contributors:**
The success of the competition was attributed to the efforts of Sonali Gupta and Harihar Pandey, along with the support of teachers, the sports department, and judges from the Bokaro District Kabaddi Association. A captivating dance related to sports, guided by Renu Shah, added an artistic flair to the event.
