Bokaro: Mount Sion School has showcased its academic excellence at the national level by receiving the prestigious ‘Best Zonal Teacher Award’ from the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). The award recognises the outstanding performance of the school’s students in science olympiads and the dedicated guidance provided by the teachers of the Science Department.

Award Recognises Collective Effort of Science Faculty
Unlike individual recognitions, Mount Sion School accepted this honour as a collective achievement of its entire Science Department. The school management highlighted that students’ success is not the result of one person’s effort but reflects the combined dedication, teamwork, and innovative teaching approach of the entire faculty. The award stands as a testimony to the commitment of the school’s science educators towards nurturing scientific curiosity, analytical skills, and competitive excellence among students.
Teachers Represent Entire Science Department
Recognising the spirit of teamwork behind the achievement, two representatives from the Science Department were invited to receive the award on behalf of all faculty members. Senior section representative Baidhyanath Mahto (PGT) and junior section representative Mithu Thakur (PRT) jointly received the trophy, certificate of appreciation, and the award cheque, representing the collective contribution of all science teachers.

Principal Congratulates Science Faculty
Congratulating the Science Department, school principal Dr B. Reena Thakur said that the achievement reflects Mount Sion School’s commitment to quality education, a disciplined academic environment, and a strong culture of teamwork. She appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students and expressed confidence that the school would continue to create new milestones at national and international platforms through dedication, innovation, and academic excellence.
The recognition by SOF further strengthens Mount Sion School’s reputation as an institution focused on holistic learning and encouraging students to excel in science and competitive examinations.
