Bokaro: The Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has invited applications of medical professionals for the post of consultants in Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) situated in Bokaro of Jharkhand. 910-bedded BGH is one of the biggest hospitals in this region. A large number of doctors getting retired in BGH leads to manpower crunch, and prompted management to conduct recruitment of talented medical professionals.
The vacancies announced for the 13 posts for the BGH are – General Medicine 04, Anaesthesia 02, Paediatrics 02, Orthopaedics 02, Radiology 01, Psychiatry 01 and General Surgery. It is mentioned that, BSL is one of the modernised integrated steel plants of SAIL (a Maharatna Company). It has a motivated workforce of around 11152 employees. BGH is a unit of SAIL.
The hospital is having all the specialities related to Medicine and Surgery and well supported by super-speciality services like Neuro-Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Burns & Plastic, Nephrology and Investigative Services with latest gadgets. The institution is reputed for its state-of-the-art 38 bedded ICU/ ICCU complex, Burns Unit, Neonatology unit, Radiation Oncology Unit and an OHS Centre (inside the plant).
The institution is recognized for DNB Post Graduate training by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, in 08 disciplines. It is a referral centre for delivering health care to all the patients (non-employees) coming from in and around the district of Bokaro, as well as the patients of major units like DVC, S. E. Railways, Coal India etc.
