Senior IPS officer showed students how to succeed in civil service and serve their country


Bokaro: The Director General of Rail, Anil Palta made students of St. Xaviers School aware of the civil service examination and how to prepare for it on Friday. Palta, an alumnus of St Xavier, participated in a ‘talk show’ to help students prepare for their future careers. Additionally, a dentist talked about his profession.

Students attended the session to learn about career options, preparation, and other aspects of the field. Alumnus of the school who excel in their careers conducted the session. Students found the talk show very informative. After passing intermediate, it will help them decide which studies they want to pursue.  Students came up with several questions during the session, which Palta patiently answered and cleared up their doubts.

Palta, who was the chief guest, informed the children about the Civil Services. As an IPS officer, he told the children about serving the country. In his speech, he discussed how children should prepare for entering the civil service. The mantra of success is routine and focused study, according to Palta. At least 8 hours of study daily was required for Civil Service Examination preparation. To be aware of current affairs, newspapers and magazines should be read daily.


​Dr. Nitin also threw light on how students can make a future in the medical field. Father Arun Minj, Principal of St. Xavier’s School was also present on the occasion.
