St. Xavier’s School hosts ASISC Zonal Volleyball Tournament, promoting lifelong friendships and sportsmanship


Bokaro: In a recent event that celebrated the true essence of volleyball, St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro Steel City hosted the ASISC Zonal Volleyball Tournament. The Principal, Fr. Arun Minj S.J., emphasised that this sport is more than just a game, serving as a platform for fostering lifelong friendships, nurturing character, and promoting sportsmanship. 

The tournament witnessed the participation of 23 teams from 9 different schools, with both boys and girls competing in the under-17 and under-19 categories. As the matches unfolded, the values instilled by the sport became evident, extending far beyond the boundaries of the court.

Fr. Arun Minj S.J., in his address, highlighted the valuable life lessons that volleyball teaches. Among these lessons are the importance of respect, perseverance, and teamwork. He emphasized that these virtues are not limited to the volleyball arena but hold relevance in all aspects of life.

Volleyball, known for its fast-paced and dynamic nature, demands cooperation and collaboration among teammates. Through the tournament, participants not only honed their athletic skills but also developed a sense of unity and camaraderie.
