Seminar emphasises the crucial role of teacher education in preserving Indian knowledge and culture


Bokaro: The NP Teachers Training College recently concluded a two-day seminar that delved into the significant role of teacher education in promoting and preserving India’s rich knowledge, tradition, and culture. The closing ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Shashi Pratap Shahi, the Vice Chancellor of Magadh University, was a testament to the importance of this academic pursuit.

The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by key dignitaries, including Prof. Gyandev Mani Tripathi, Organising Committee Chairman Pramod Kumar Singh, and Prof. Ashish Srivastava. Dr. Shahi, in his address, extolled the timeless legacy of Indian knowledge and tradition, asserting its unparalleled significance on the global stage.

He emphasised that the Indian education policy is poised to be a catalyst for India’s rejuvenation and self-reliance, warranting its steadfast advancement.

Prof. Gyandev Mani Tripathi and Prof. Ashish Srivastava concurred with Dr. Shahi’s sentiments, underscoring the enduring need for relentless efforts in carrying forward Indian culture and traditions. Organising Committee Chairman Pramod Kumar Singh stressed the pivotal role that teachers play in this cultural continuum, reinforcing that their efforts are indispensable in preserving the essence of India’s heritage.

The seminar witnessed the participation of distinguished individuals, such as Dr. Praveen Singh, Dr. Inderjit Kumar, Dr. Upendra Kumar, Dr. Bhagwan Pathak, and Dr. Amita Verma. Unfortunately, they were not able to attend the event in person.

Notable figures like Sanjeev Kumar, representing the National Education Policy, added their valuable insights and expertise to the discussions, further highlighting the significance of teacher education in fostering and upholding the tapestry of Indian knowledge, tradition, and culture.

This seminar served as a critical platform for acknowledging the crucial role of educators in this timeless endeavor.
