The success of a school is not measured on academic results, but on how its alumni doing as adults: DPS, Principal


Bokaro: The Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro celebrated its 35th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm on the virtual platform on Friday. Established in 1987, this school has been producing brilliant students by shaping up their natural talents.

The programme started with a melodious rendition of the welcome song followed by the cake cutting ceremony, release of the quarterly publication ‘Zenith’ and unveiling of a stimulating painting, depicting holistic education.

Promoting the idea of ‘Green Earth’, Principal, DPS Bokaro, A. S. Gangwar planted a sapling to mark the occasion. Books and bags were also distributed for the students of Deepansh Siksha Kendra (a school run for the underprivileged children of the society).  The book packets were handed over to the parents due to the ‘Corona’ crisis.

The school released its Foundation Day celebration video capturing the glorious moments and achievements along with the Principal’s message. The teachers and staff members cherished the moment and promised to collaborate and give their best for the glorification of the school in the future also.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal, DPS Bokaro A.S. Gangwar thanked the stakeholders and the founder members including the founder Principal M.S.Tyagi, who as a team has steered the destiny of the school in the right direction with great foresight and vision.  He acknowledged the parent community for their active involvement and support. He added, “The unforeseen challenges have provided an opportunity to undergo metamorphosis wherein we emerged more successful assimilating online teaching into our pedagogy.”

The Principal wished the staff, the students and the parents and said that it was a shared effort of everyone. “The success of a school cannot be measured on the basis of its academic results or the number of work placements but on how the alumni are doing as adults and as members of the civil society,” the Principal reiterated.
