Bokaro’s Vasudevan Nampoothripad steers AIMA Jharkhand as new President


The All India Malayali Association (AIMA) held its annual general meeting in Tata, where the Jharkhand branch elected its new committee for the 2024-27 session.

Vasudevan Nampoothripad from Bokaro was appointed president for three years, a role he has previously held. Five members from Bokaro, including Nampoothripad, were selected for key positions on the committee.

The Bokaro team includes Sasidran Karat as NGC delegate two, women’s group convenor Asha Vinu, and executive members Vijesh PK and Baburaj. AIMA’s National General Secretary PN Srikumar and National Executive Member and National Observer Manikandan Krishna also attended the meeting.

The new 13-member executive team for the Jharkhand branch was elected and comprises Suresh B Pillai from Ranchi as General Secretary, Sunil Kumar from Tata as Treasurer, and Muralidharan from Tata as NGC-One. Other notable positions include Vinod Menon from Tata as Convenor of the Youth Group, Sajulal from Tata as Vice President, and Ashok Kumar N from Tata as Joint Secretary.

The joint secretaries are Suresh Prasanna from Ranchi and an executive member from Tata, MKK. This newly elected team represents a collaborative effort to guide AIMA’s Jharkhand branch in the upcoming session.
