GGPS, Bokaro organises orientation program for Class 11 students


Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Public School, located in Bokaro, organised an orientation program for the incoming batch of class 11 students on Monday. The program, held in the school’s Multipurpose Hall, exuded a cultural ambiance.

The event commenced with the recital of the school prayer, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and presentation of bouquets. The primary objective of the program was to familiarize the students with the courses, subjects of study, curriculum, and teaching methods employed by the school.

The program was attended by parents, students, and teachers of the school, with Mr. Mannu Srivastava gracing the occasion as the guest of honor.

The program began with a warm welcome note, followed by detailed instructions on discipline and the significance of the parent-teacher relationship delivered by Soumen Chakraborty, the Principal of GGPS, and C.P. Singh, the Vice-Principal.

The induction process aimed to provide a structured and comprehensive introduction to the school’s environment for both parents and students. Through various presentations, attendees were informed about educational opportunities and responsibilities both inside and outside the classroom.

The event’s objective was to sensitize parents to identify the capabilities of their children so that their energy could be channeled in the right direction. Students were also briefed about the different subjects offered, highlighting the scope and career opportunities associated with each.

The guest of honor, Mannu Srivastava, an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and quiz master, emphasized the importance of pursuing streams that align with the students’ interests. Parents were advised not to impose their preferences on their children when it came to choosing a stream, and the concept was further elaborated using the psychometric phenomenon.

The program aimed to provide students with information and resources that would enable them to make informed academic plans and healthy social choices. Additionally, it sought to create a welcoming environment that fostered a sense of community among the incoming class and facilitated connections with faculty and fellow students.

The event served as a guiding light for many students and parents, as the school assured them of full cooperation and support in their future endeavors. Tarsem Singh, President of GGES (name of educational society), and S.P. Singh, Secretary of GGES, the heads of the educational society, extended their best wishes to all the students for their future endeavors. The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving a positive and inspiring note.
