‘Technogyan’ at MGM showcases children’s creativity in artificial intelligence & drone operations


Bokaro: Children showed their creativity in ‘TechnoGyan’, a two-day ATL Workshop organised by MGM Higher Secondary School. The students of Classes 8 to 10 from schools across the district participated in the workshop, which was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, A. S. Gangwar, Principal of Delhi Public School, Bokaro.

Gangwar was exceptionally delighted to see the ATL and appreciated the initiative of the school to train the young minds. The two-day event was a gala affair. The shortlisted students for the workshop were from schools like; Crescent Public School, Sector 6 C; Sardar Patel Public School, Sector 9A; Krishna Sudarshan Central School, Gandhinagar, Bermo; Carmel School Kargali, Bermo; St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro; Sree Ayyappa Public School, Bokaro; Mithila Academy Public School, Sector 4E; Delhi Public School, Chas; Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Sector 5 and MGM Higher Secondary School, Bokaro.

Students were also accompanied by their Teacher Representatives. The workshop saw interesting activities. Students learnt about the components of a circuit, electronic circuit designing, 3D printing, functioning of a drone and artificial intelligence. Students from the different schools were put together and divided into random groups of four encouraging them to communicate and work together as a team. They also participated in a Quiz Competition.

The event was one of a kind where the students had fun learning under the guidance of Jainandan Nishad, the resource person for the workshop from Tech B, a Bhilai based organisation. Tech B is a company that has been contributing its service in the field of skill improvement programmes for students since the last 5 years.

Tech B has also been featured in Forbes Magazine under top 10 Most Innovative Companies in India in 2020. TechB has established ATL in 450+ schools all over India and also served ISRO, DRDO, BHEL, IITs among many other organizations.

Principal Reverend Father Reji C. Varghese and Chairman of ATL, MGM; encouraged students to learn, to innovate and grow. He added that students from various schools of the city can avail the benefits provided by the ATL of MGM at any time in the future without any fee. Headmistress Ancy Varghese expressed her delight at the overwhelming response from the participating schools and acknowledged the importance of such workshops for the overall development of the nation.
